Q: Do you sell to retail customers?

A: Absolutely. We supply glass to both retail customers and trade. We also offer a supply and fit service for glazing products.

Q: Do you sell greenhouse/horticultural glass?

A: Yes. Greenhouse glass or horticultural glass is 3mm in thickness. Stock sizes available are:

• 610mm x 610mm (24’’ x 24’’)
• 610mm x 457mm (24’’ x 18’’)
• 1422mm x 730mm (56’’ x 28.75’’)

Alternatively, we can cut the glass to size for you. We can also provide you with the clips to safely and securely fit your glass. For further information please contact the showroom.

Q: Do you stock mirrors?

A: Yes, we supply silver mirrors in 4mm or 6mm thickness. All of our mirrors are cut to size and we offer extra services such as: bevelled edges, polished edges, screw holes etc. Safety backing mirrors is a method which holds the mirror together should it break; we also provide this service. Dorset Glass supply mirrors from standard sizes to more complex shapes with detailed designs, to larger size mirrors and bulk orders for gyms and retails shops.

We have a range of mirror adhesives to add to your purchase if you require.

Q: Do you stock any putty or glazing tapes?

A: We stock a wide range of putty, from a traditional linseed (oil based) putty to multipurpose putty. Glazing tapes are also stocked and again there are many types of glazing tape to match different specs of glass. For further details on specifics please contact the showroom.

Q: Can you give me technical advice on glass and/or glazing?

A: We pride ourselves on our expertise, so we would be more than happy to give you advice. Give us a call and we will put you in the right place to get the answers you need.

Q: Do you supply coloured or patterned glass?

A: We stock and supply coloured glass in white, grey, green, bronze and blue and most patterned glass available. All of the Pilkington’s patterns are available to view in the showroom as well as the Barron Glass range. Coloured glass is available in float and safety glass and most of them are stocked in house. Please contact us for further details on what is currently stocked.

Q: Does Dorset Glass offer a supply and fit service or is it supply only?

A: A supply and fit service is offered with all glazing products and can be requested on splashback installations. If a supply only service is all you need that is not a problem.

Q: Can you toughen glass and do you do it within your own premises?

A: Dorset Glass installed a toughening plant in 2005 alongside our factory in Poole that works on a 24 hours a day, 6 days a week operation. We can toughen your own glass (volumes dependent) and it is all done in house with impressive lead times.

Q: Do you sell glass blocks?

A: Unfortunately, we do not sell glass blocks any more.

Q: Do you have a showroom?

A: Our newly refurbished showroom is located on the Nuffield Industrial Estate in Poole where our factory and offices are based. We are currently displaying a wide range of splashbacks and colour options, shower screens, mirrors and frames, balustrades, windows and doors, bi-fold doors and partitions. Please feel free to contact us prior to your visit to determine if we have a display of the specification you desire.
